Thermography of cables reveals few cable faults, like loose cable joints, few broken strands of cable internally, Insulation layer failures etc. The current through live cable generates heat, the thermal pattern throughout the cable reveals these faults.

This inspection is online thermal inspection & can be done from a safe distance. I recommend getting the thermal inspection of cables done at least twice a year.
