Condition Assessment of Conveyors
The bearings of long conveyors can be inspected with Thermal & Ultrasound Inspection. These conveyors may be of 10 meters or of few kilometres of length. It is always difficult to inspect each bearing of each roller on the conveyor. But with some techniques, we can inspect healthiness of each bearing of each roller on the conveyors.
The bearing failures in conveyors may cause the material to fall down from conveyor & the conveyor may get stuck at one place. It is necessary to check these bearings periodically, to get flawless operation.
Condition Assessment of Crane
The Overhead Crane Main Hoist Motor, Bridge Drive Motor, Bridge idler Wheels, can be inspected with Thermal & Ultrasound Inspection. Normally, these parts remain uninspected but the Ultrasound & Thermal inspection can detect the faults in it from distance. it is an online inspection and no need to stop any operation in the plant.
