Condition Assessment of Compressed Air System
Compressed Air Leaks are always one of the major source of wasted energy in an industrial compressed air system. A plant where the periodic condition assessment of compressed air lines is not adopted might be losing energy around 30 – 40% of total compressed air production capacity. On the other hand, proactive condition assessment of compressed air lines followed by corrective actions can reduce leaks to less than 2% of the compressor output.
We use SDT & other reputed make ultrasound instruments for leak detection. It is also a capacity & range of an instrument to detect the smallest leak & from distance. Using cheaper instrument may leave many minute leaks undetected & hence, unattended & the purpose of reducing the leaks below 5% may not get solved.
