Condition Assessment of HT/ LT Electric panels
Condition Assessment (CAss) of LT Panels – The technique used to do this assessment is Thermography. It detects, contact resistances in the cable/bus bar joints, Overloading, Single Passing, Unbalance Load, Harmonics in the panel. Early detection of faults can eliminate the risk of failure of panels & hence, damage to the productivity of the company. Electrical Panel inspection has to be done quarterly in order to avoid stoppage of production due failure in electric panels.
Condition Assessment (CAss) of HT Panels – The most necessary thing in HT Panels inspection is personal safety. There are many things like corona, tracking, arcing might taking place inside HT panels. It is a danger of getting electrocuted if the panel is opened without any precautions taken. It is necessary, to inspect the panel from outside first with Ultrasound Assessment to confirm the condition inside & then go to the next step.
As in the LT panel, the CAss of HT panel using techniques like Thermography detects Joint Contact Resistance, Overloading, Unbalance Load, Harmonics in the system but by using the technique like Ultrasound Assessment also detects Corona, Arcing & Tracking inside the panel.
