Condition Assessment of Pump
Condition Assessment (CAss) of Pump includes Visual Inspection, Vibration Probing Study, Vibration Assessment, Thermography, Ultrasound Assessment, etc.
Visual Inspection includes inspecting the ambient conditions – moisture (humidity)/dust/gases, operating conditions – load, number of startings, etc.
Vibration Probing Study is done to learn about the condition of piping strain, rigidness of foundation, deformation in base rail, fastening of the pump with base rail, bent shaft condition & soft foot conditions.
Vibration Assessment, Thermography, Ultrasound Assessment is done to learn the condition of bearings, Misalignment, Impeller Imbalance, Bearing Housing, etc. Ultrasound Assessment is done to detect cavitation severity in the pump.
Oil Analysis is done in the case of Oil Lubricated Bearings in a motor to know about the condition of oil.
