CM of Machine Train

When more than two or more machines Machines are coupled to each other with the same axis of their shafts, the assembly is called Machine Train. The photo here is of machine train having Turbine – Gearbox – Generator Coupled together.

CM of different parts of the machines in this type of Machine Train can be done effectively with a combination of CM techniques like Vibration Measurement, Ultrasound Measurement, thermography & Oil Particle Analysis. The Gearbox is a common factor in most of such type of machine trains. It can be the train of Turbine – Motor – GB – Blower unit or Turbine – GB – Generator unit.
